January, 2012
We have found a beautiful location only four miles SouthWest of town with good
internet and cell phone access.
Here's how to get there:

First I will tell you how to get to the turn in to the camp. At the bottom of the
page I will give you instructions for after you turn in.

To Get to The Turn-IN
Interstate 10 goes right through Quartzsite, AZ. Between exit 11 and 17 there
is a frontage road named Dome Mountain RD. We are located there.

If you are coming from California, get off
the freeway at exit 11. At the stop
sign zero out your odometer. Drive 1.5 miles . On your right you will see a BLM
road sign (they are a flat, brown, fiberglass post).  Turn in.....

If you are coming from Phoenix get off at exit 17 and turn left toward the
Loves truck stop. When you get to the stop sign in front of the Loves, zero out
your odometer. Turn right on the road before the entrance into the Loves.
Drive 4 miles exactly. On your left you will see a BLM road sign (they are a flat,
brown, fiberglass post).  Turn in.....

If you are coming from Parker (North) or Yuma (South) on 95, here's how to
get to the camp. Right in the middle of Quartzsite there is a traffic light with a
Shell station on it. You want to turn West toward California. There will be a sign
there that says this way to I10 West bound. Follow that road until you have to
stop at a 4-way stop sign. Turn left and you will go over I10 on exit 17 and
toward the Loves truck stop. Once you are at the stop sign just before the
entrance to the Loves, turn right and follow the directions above.

To Get to Camp After You Turn-IN
Pull into the entrance by the BLM post. This area has a confusing spiderweb of
dirt roads through it. Right in front of you, there is a domed mountain that
dominates the skyline. You basically want to aim right for it. So go straight and
up the hill. The one you want is the only road in front of you that goes up the hill.
The road curves to the right and aims straight at my trailer and the group camp
site. WELCOME!

This is the entrance post, that is the domed mountain behind it. Just to the right
of the motorhome you will see some white dots. Thats our camp. The motorhome
left since I took this picture.

The road goes a little to the left of the dome at first. That's my dog Homer, he
will lead us home.

The white dots at the far right and a third of the way down is camp. Keep going.

Homer got confused, you do NOT turn here. Keep going straight to camp. The
road curves ahead and goes straight to it.

Welcome home to your tribe!! This is my trailer, it is on the left of the road at
the end. Stop in and say hello! I have a guest book set up on a table on the other
side, feel free to sign it if you want.
This is the home of the RTR 2011. It is the
small white dots on the far right edge and in
the middle of the picture. Use this domed
mountain to guide you to it.
I just put this sign up to help you find us
